Load calculator for gratings

Calculate the strength of the bridge sheet, its maximum possible deflection and the values of the allowable loads.

Notes:

  1. The calculated values are determined on the basis of theoretical relationships and determine the strength of the bridge grating in an indicative manner.
  2. The concentrated loads and distributed loads are permissible loads taking into account the maximum possible deflection of the gratings.
  3. Depending on the chosen mesh size or the dimensions of the flat bars, the values of the permissible loads are determined from the load-bearing condition or from the service condition.
  4. The determined values of flat bar dimensions and mesh dimensions are to be correlated with the Pavimenti production programme.

Design basis

  • The calculations are based on the quality standard RAL-GZ 638 and refer to situations with one take-up and one load acting on the truss. The load can be a concentrated load in the middle of the span or a uniformly distributed load.
  • The unladen weight can be disregarded according to RAL-GZ 638
  • Forces acting horizontally are not taken into account.
  • RAL-GZ 638 does not include (local) instability checks.

This calculation tool is to be considered as an auxiliary tool only and Pavineni is not liable for its use. All technical design of communication platforms and antennas must be based on qualified qualified calculations by the project structural engineer.

Legend

  • L = clear span [ mm ]
  • FP = concentrated load [ kN ]
  • FV = uniformly distributed load [ kN / m² ]
  • X = supporting flat bar spacing [ mm ]
  • Y = transverse flat bar spacing [ mm ]

(1 kN ≈ approx. 100 kg)
