Welded platform gratings

KOZ - galvanised welded grating

Welded platform gratings are manufactured by combining supporting flat bars with bolted cross bars.

The elements forming the grating structure are supporting bars and bolted cross bars with a diameter of 5 mm or 6 mm (depending on the thickness of the supporting bar). The supporting flat bars, perform the task of transferring the loads acting on the lattice, while the cross bars give position and stability to the supporting flat bars.

The joining process is carried out by welding, whereby the cross bars are welded to the bearing bars. The resulting welded lattice forms a permanent structure, capable of bearing loads, on any pressure surface. The joining process is carried out by resistance welding.

Material

Gratings are made of S235JR steel grade

Standards

The gratings are manufactured according to standards: DIN24537 and RAL GZ 638

Hot-dip galvanisation is in accordance with EN ISO 1461

Tolerances

Grates are manufactured with a negative tolerance (+0 to -4 mm)

Framing

As standard, the gratings are framed with a flat bar equal to the height of the supporting flat bar. However, it is possible to change to another type.

Dimensions

We denote the length of the supporting flat bar as L and the cross bar as B.

The maximum dimensions are L = 6100 mm, B = 1000 mm.

On the technical drawing, we mark the load-bearing flat bar with the following symbol.
